An important element of a successful user interface design is to have icons that fulfill two requirements:
- well describes the functions it stands for
- easy to remember it
Susan Kare icons fulfill 100% these requirements, but who is she? Susan Kare is an interface pioneer, she is the designer of the original Macintosh icons.
The reason why I’m writing about this now, is that Susan Kare published a book about here favorite icons, that she made between 1983 – 2011.
The book contains 80 icons, in original size and in large scale also. Books are numbered and all of them is signed by Susan Kare.
