It is getting pretty obvious that something will happen around the payment methods we use everyday during shopping in a grocery store or buying a coffee.
Several smaller and bigger player is trying to find the new way of payment and replacing bankcards with a mobile + web convergent solution.
Looking through all the promotional videos and websites, I definitely agree and see the point in this evolution. Although I also have the feeling that the participants are struggling to show how they provide a better customer experience with these new solutions.
What are those today existing obstacles that the new solutions topple or what are those today none existing features that can boost the acceptance of these fresh ideas?
I see that in most of the cases the story is quite strong for the second part – stunning new features; but there is definitely a room to improve in the first part – everyday convenience.
